Energy & Infrastructure Industry Remote Areas 4WD – 2 Day Duration

For those engaged in the provision of services in remote areas this 2 day course is certain to offer the skills necessary for safe light vehicle operation. It has the luxury of two full days to fully exploit the vehicle and driver’s potential to the maximum. Our comprehensive theory session via Power Point is entertaining and empowering. So too are the dynamic practicals. It can be tailored to suit your individual needs and incorporate both Defensive on-road elements as well as those 4WD off-road, we’ll also ensure important mechanical awareness and maintenance issues are covered.

The practical sessions analyse the risks associated with driving on formed roads as well as rough bush tracks and what to do when the forces of nature are working against you. You’ll tackle terrains that are relevant to your working experience and undertake exercises that show the simplest and most expedient ways of staying mobile and safe. Vehicle recovery exercises will revolve around what tools you might have at your disposal or developed in line with your driving policy.

You Need

  • A 4WD vehicle in good condition, load secured and with a full tank of fuel
  • If you haven’t got a vehicle we can arrange a hire 4WD from our preferred hire vehicle partners, POA
  • Your lunch and drinks or you can elect to buy lunch at the lunch stop
  • Clothing appropriate for the forecast conditions and closed footwear, remember your PPE
  • Hat, sunscreen and sunnies
